A finalist at Francouvertes in May, the revelation of the last Francopholies and winner of the Best New Artist competition at Festiblues, the unclassifiable Adamus, a.k.a. “The Reverend” has been raking in awards. Hommage à Howlin’ Wolf (Canada)

This year would have been the 100th birthday of Chester Burnett, a.k.a Howlin’ Wolf, who died in 1976. In 1998, guitarist Motor City Josh released his 10th album with a tribute to the legendary bluesman. Lee Oskar (É.-U./US)

The 62 year-old Danish master of the harmonica came to the United Stated in 1965, and in 1969, he met Eric Burdon and founded the group War (Low Rider, Spill The Wine). In 2010, he is celebrating the 27th anniversary of his company Lee Oskar Harmonica, the renowned manufacturer of the diminutive instrument. He will be performing songs from his latest versatile album called Lee Oskar Collection.

American guitar legend Les Dudek played with Boz Scaggs, Stevie Nicks and the Allman Brothers, among others, and toured with the Steve Miller Band in the 70’s. He has written several musical themes for television as well as recording Deeper Shades of Blues and Freestyle in 2002.

The 21 year-old guitarist from Lincoln, Nebraska and his trio are performing at Tremblant for the first time. Nominated for a Blues Music Award this year, California harmonica player Mark Hummel has been touring with his band The Survivors for 30 years. MonkeyJunk (Canada)

MonkeyJunk proudly took home a prestigious 2010 Blues Award in Memphis for Best New Artist following the success of their first CD Tiger In Your Tank as well as five Maple Blues Awards. The 43 year-old Dutch piano player will be banging out some rousing piano tunes for this first festival appearance. Eric-Jan Overbeek lives up to his stage name. A steadfast keeper of the Chicago blues flame, Ronnie Baker Brooks is the son of the legendary Lonnie Brooks who was just inducted in the Blues Foundation Hall of Fame. The singer and guitarist recently recorded a CD featuring The Legendary Rhythm & Blues Revue with other established musicians such as Magic Dick and Tommy Castro – an exciting follow-up to his own third album, The Torch, released in 2006.

Nominated for a Grammy in 2006 for his album Brother to The Blues, the 43 year-old Cajun singer and guitarist from Baton Rouge, Louisiana has played with Junior Wells, Willie Nelson and Kim Wilson, to name a few. His 15th and latest album, Night Train to Nashville, was released in 2008 and is a mix of blues, country and Cajun music.

King Entertainer of the Year” and “Band of the Year”, the 55 year-old guitarist from California makes his first appearance at the Festival. Trevor Finlay Band (Nashville)

Born in Winnipeg, Finlay now makes his home in Nashville. The guitarist and Violap player has just released Bootleg, his fifth album of blues, rock, soul and rockabilly, recorded live in the country music capital. He has shared the stage with Johnny Winter, John Hiatt and Buddy Guy.

Two Men Blues (Canada)

This duo from the Laurentians lives just a hop and a skip from Tremblant! Gilles Masse (vocals, harmonica, guitar) and Jonathan Morin (acoustic guitar) self-produced their debut album Got The Blue, which includes excellent versions of blues classics as well as their own originals.

Voice of the Wetlands All Stars (É.-U./US)

Wang Dang Doodle (Canada)

Guitarist and singer Marc Parent and bassist Gilbert Joanis have been leading this four-piece blues-rock band since 1987! Between personal projects and a number of stimulating collaborations outside Wang Dang Doodle, the band continues to account for a significant part of blues history in Quebec.
